Beware of shady native ad networks like Taboola & Outbrain

yo just a warning i got totally burned by these native ad things. tried taboola outbrain MGID all that and it looked good at first then i started seeing payout delays random chargebacks and some real click fraud i think. support was either ghosting or just copy paste answers. tbh i think a lot of these sites are shady with payments and fake clicks. lost a bunch of money feels kinda scammy. anyone else deal with this or know how to avoid it before putting money in?

yo just a warning i got totally burned by these native ad things always check payout history and don't just trust the first look. some networks show early promise but then freeze or chargeback like crazy fr. stay small, test with tiny budgets and watch for patterns of fake clicks or late payments.

just my 2 cents, i remember trying out some lesser known native networks a while ago, everything seemed legit till payments started getting delayed and clicks felt kinda fake. had to cut ties quick, lost some cash. now i only stick with the ones with solid reviews and long track record.

different angle: i actually tried a similar network long ago, everything looked legit till i saw my earnings disappear overnight, turns out they were using fake clicks. smh, feels like a total scam sometimes. now i stick with legit stuff only, learned it the hard way

Been there, done that. My buddy once got burned on a network that looked solid till his traffic vanished overnight, turns out they were faking clicks. Always remember, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Actually, about 80% of networks I've tested had some shady stuff going on behind the scenes. Doesn't mean all are bad but you gotta be real cautious and do your due diligence before dumping cash. ymmv, always watch your stats closely.

Yep exactly, native ad networks are kinda like the wild west sometimes. Gotta watch out for fake clicks and payouts gettin delayed. Stay sharp and test small first lol.

Honestly, I've heard the same about those networks. Tried a few times, got a few clicks, but the ROI was a joke. People say they're a necessary evil but I don't buy the hype. Proofs or it didn't happen, right? Always feels like walking a tightrope with those shady spots. Back to the drawing board, I guess

So what makes you think these networks are shady and not just an unavoidable evil? I mean, if they drive cheap traffic that converts and you can squeeze some ROI outta it, isn't that the real win? Or is it more about avoiding the risk of getting your money thrown into the spammy abyss? Curious if you're just salty or if there's legit proof of their scammy nature.

you know how it works in practice, the idea that all these networks are shady is a bit of a red herring. most 'gurus' who talk about avoiding Taboola or Outbrain have never run a campaign that made real money over the long term. these networks, when used right, can be profitable but you need to know the game inside out. it's not about warning people away, it's about understanding the risks and knowing how to whitelist your traffic sources. if you just jump in without proper vetting or testing, then yeah, it's shady. but if you've been around enough, you see the patterns, you learn the signals, and then you make it work. most failures come from laziness or not doing the homework, not because the networks are inherently shady.

Honestly I think it depends. I've seen some decent T2 apps scrape by on native traffic if your creatives are tight and you're avoiding the typical capped out placements. But yeah, the shady rep is real with some of those networks, especially if you don't know what you're doing. I'd say if you want consistent ROI you gotta dig deeper into the post-install funnel and LTV, not just chasing cheap clicks. Just be careful, most of the time it's a gamble and TikTok ads are overhyped for most non-ecom stuff anyway.

proof is in the pudding. their opaque payouts, sketchy targeting, and the fact that most people who sing their praises have never had a campaign that actually made bank over the long haul. you're just LARPing if you think it's all legit.

T2 apps on native, huh? Maybe. But the real trick is knowing when you're scraping the bottom of the barrel or just wasting your budget on sketchy traffic.
